Christmas Help for Families: Wish Upon A Hero
| On January 31, 2009, I posted about Wish Upon a Hero, an online community that offers a platform for people to help people. Beginning with this past October, I have received approximate 60 wishes from daughters, mothers, aunts, and grandmothers asking for help in providing clothing and toys for their children this Christmas. Because of their unfortunate circumstances, they are unable to provide presents under the tree. |
My recommendation to those in need of help this Christmas or through out the year, open an account on Wish Upon A Hero. Complete their certification process and post your 3 wishes. If you complete their requirements verifying who you are and your situation, then there is a better chance that you will find a Hero to help you provide for your children.
If anyone would like to help one of NanaFinds families in need this Christmas, please leave a comment. Just know, that I too will require verification from everyone involved so no one becomes a victim of a scam.
Wish Upon A Hero True Story
I know of a New Jersey mother who has 5 children. Even though she was able to buy some Christmas presents for her children, she wasn’t able to buy one of her girls the American Girl Doll she desperately wanted. The only hope she had was that a Hero would help. She opened an account with Wish Upon A Hero. A Hero found her and asked why she asked for just the doll. She told him why. He communicated back to her to choose one present for each of her other 4 children up to $50 value and he would provide each child with a Christmas gift.
Anything is possible if you give it a chance.

Hello my Name is Francisca Goodwin.I am a single mother of 3 wonderful boys.Gettting there father to pay child support or help out hasn’t been any help at all..There ages are 14,10,and 8..I am having trouble making ends meet..If it weren’t for my mother I don’t know how I would pay the bills.Her on disability getting a check every mouth pays our bills..After the bills are paid she has no money..I haven’t been able to find a job ..I haven’t been looking none stop and getting my boys something for Christmas isn’t looking good because I cannot find any help here..If theres anyway you can help please contact me

i am a single mom of three boys 7 6 and 5 my 6 year old is 90 percent braindead blind and deaf 14 meds 40 times a day and my 5 year old is autistic i get no help other than a ssi check for 673 and my rent is 600 i am in serious trouble i need christmas help my kids deserve the world i cant give them that but they are so understanding and helpful with there handicapped brother they sacrafice so much including holidays because i am unable to work due to my sons condition 24/7 care if anyone can help in anyway please let me know any small thing would be appreciated i have nowhere to turn stacey

im trying to seek where i can get help for my 2 boys who are 6 and 7 .they have not one guft to wake up to.please help if you can..i tryed everything noone is helping they said its to late. thanks so much

MY NAME IS SHELIA, I WAS IN BANKING FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL MY HEALTH WENT DOWN. I HAVE FIBROMYLSIA, SEVERE HEADACHES, AND DISK IN MY BACK THT ARE BULGING, AND IF THAT ISN’T ENOUGH I HAVE POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DUE TO INCIDENTS THAT STEM FROM CHILDHOOD. NEEDLESS TO SAY THIS HAS BEEN A VERY BAD YEAR. I BARELY MAKE ENDS MEET, ROB PETER TO PAUL PAUL SO TO SPEAK AND END UP IN WORSE SHAPE THAN BEFORE. I HAVE 4 BOYS 19,16,17,AND SOON TO BE 6. THE OLDER ONES CAN KINDA UNDERSTAND BUT THE 5 YR OLD IS WAITING FOR SANTA. PLEASE HELP IN ANYWAY YOU CAN….THANK YOU

Hi myy name is shamblia i have 3 lil boys kahtrel 6 justice 2 and israel 4. Israel my middle child has sickel cell diease he got really sick two weeks ago and had to stay n the hospital for a week i lost my job and am haven a really hard time tryn to get my boys anything for christmas with it only days away i am feeling worse and worse isrrael is doing a lot better after his blood transfusion sunday please i am askn and praying for any help.
